The Dauphiné Alps lie south of the Tarentaise around the Écrins massif, and hold Alpe d’Huez, Les Deux Alpes and Serre Chevalier. Alpe d’Huez is known for its sun and long vertical; Les Deux Alpes for its glacier at 3,600 m; Serre Chevalier for its trees and its position near the Italian border.
