About Gulmarg
Gulmarg is a town in Baramulla district, in a cup-shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range, about 56 km from Srinagar. The Gulmarg Gondola, run by the Jammu & Kashmir Cable Car Corporation, climbs in two stages from the resort at 2,650 m, via Kongdoori, to 3,980 m.
A chairlift also links Kongdoori with Mary’s Shoulder for winter skiing.
