Tignes – Val d'Isère snow forecast

No snow is expected at any of the 2 places in Tignes – Val d'Isère in the next 7 days.

The area

Tignes and Val d’Isère share one of the highest and most snow-sure ski areas in the Alps, around 300 km of pistes between 1,550 m and 3,456 m, with the Grande Motte glacier on the Tignes side and the Pissaillas glacier above Val d’Isère’s Le Fornet. The area was long marketed as Espace Killy after Jean-Claude Killy, who grew up in Val d’Isère.

The snow

In our record the area averages about 13 snowy days at mid-mountain in December, January and March, and snow was on the ground every Christmas Day in the last ten years. The season runs from late November to early May, with glacier skiing beyond that.
